Answers
What is required to install an Aestiva Power Office solution?
Power Office systems can be installed into any intranet. There are no special hardware requirements since only a Web server (such as IIS or Apache) is needed. If you are unsure, ask an Aestiva Account Coordinator to help you.

What needs to be installed?
An Aestiva Array engine is first installed. After that, the Aestiva Power Office engine plus any applications assembled for you are installed using the browser-based interface built directly into Aestiva Array.

Can I install it myself?
Yes. Aestiva can walk you or your server admin through the installation of Aestiva Array and supply you install notes so you can install it yourself. We will also provide you documentation and install notes so you can perform installs and/or upgrades of modules yourself using the browser-based install facilities built into Aestiva Array.

Is there software to install on staff equipment?
No. Aestiva solutions use no plug-ins or Java applets. Staff can use any kind of browser and any kind of computer. Staff can use the equipment they have in place now.

Can users use Macs, iPhones, Blackberries, and/or other non-Microsoft browsers?
Yes. Aestiva solutions can support all kinds of browsers. Solutions are 100% browser-native. System can also be hosted on different kinds of platforms including Mac OS X and Linux. The Aestiva Power Office engine also has automated Blackberry and iPhone (iTouch) detection to support automation solutions that include Blackberry and/or iPhone devices and handheld wireless scanners.

How much training is needed to use an Aestiva Power Office solution?
Solutions using Power Office's intuitive, point-and-click design make admin training a snap -- enabling Aestiva to train the product admin over the phone. Admin training is included with every automation solution.

End-users benefit from an intuitive e-paper interface that includes customizable on-screen help. The intuitive design eliminates the need for end-user training, an important cost benefit of Power Office-based solutions.

Do I need to be highly technical to administer a solution?
No. Solutions are point-and-click applications. Even the administrative and maintenance features are easy to use. Administration guides and documentation and support is provided.

Can non-technical staff use the solutions?
Yes. Your entire staff can use a solution regardless of technical skill level. If your user can navigate the Web then they can use an automated solution from Aestiva.

How much support is included?
Purchase includes end-to-end support that includes administrator training, deployment support, and post-deployment support. Support for one year is included in the based system offering.

Additional support can be purchased from Aestiva at standard support rates.

Can the electronic forms on my automation solution look like paper forms I already have in place?
Yes. Automation solutions can utilize electronic forms that look like the paper forms you already have in place.

Can I adjust who gets email notifications and who does not?
Yes. Automation solutions include a workflow area where you can control who gets email reminders and who does not.

Will paperwork be archived?
Yes. Solutions include automatic archiving so you'll be able to report and bring up electronic paperwork - years after the paperwork has been closed.

Can I limit who fills out the paperwork and who does not?
Yes. Automation solutions include security controls defined by your administrator so you can set up the business processes specific groups of users can access.

Can the solution be changed after it has been installed and is live?
Yes. Automation solutions are highly customizable and highly extensible -- even after a system is live. Many modifications can be done by your designated administrator. More complex changes can be done with a phone call to Aestiva customer support. Sophisticated changes and additions can be quoted and completed by Aestiva's production department upon request.

Are there any monthly/ongoing fees or annual licenses?
No. Aestiva's automation solutions are technically software products, not hosted services. They are installed into your equipment or at your hosting provider. As a result, automation solutions are one-time purchases.

In addition, automation solutions have no annual fees and optional annual support and upgrade programs are offered at industry-standard rates.

How many staff can use a solution?
Automation solutions can be set up to support a few users or thousands of users. For details regarding capacity and costs, please speak to your Aestiva Account Coordinator about your "transaction volume" needs when you set up a solution.

What if I need to integrate an automation solution with my other systems?
Our Power Office-based solutions include a "systems integration" module for integrating with external systems. Solutions can receive or send data to/from external systems using a variety of methods -- including manual admin panels that support batch uploads and downloads, automated file exchanges, HTTP/HTTPS real-time transactions, and download-from-report options. For details regarding systems integration needs, please speak to your Aestiva Account Coordinator.
