What is required to run Aestiva Punchout?
Aestiva Punchout is an Add-on to Aestiva Purchase Order, Aestiva Procurement, or Aestiva Paperless One. No additional software or hardware is needed.

How long does it take to get installed?
Allow one to three business days for Aestiva to install your copy. Installation is point-and-click.

How do I access Aestiva Punchout?
Aestiva Punchout is accessed from your existing Power Office-based application. It appears as an option in the Advanced Vendor Settings screen.

Does Aestiva Punchout require special plug-ins or Java applets?
No. Aestiva Punchout requires no special plug-ins or Java. It has the same requirements as your current Power Office-based application.

How is training provided?
Learning to set up a Punchout is best done with a real supplier. As such, training is done at the time your first supplier is set up. Training is done through a series of training meetings (over the phone) and documentation provided to you in preparation for your first punchout.

Do I need to be technical to use Aestiva Punchout?
Yes. The manager of Aestiva Punchout should have an IT background.

How much support is included?
Purchase includes free installation and 90 days of support.

What if I need additional support?
Additional annual support contracts can be purchased from Aestiva.

Can I set up a Web Site punchout without an Order Side punchout?
Yes. The Web Site and Order Side punchouts may be turned on and off separately.

Does the supplier need to support a specific technology?
Yes. The supplier must support, or be willing to accept cXML documents. Today, most national suppliers accept cXML documents.

How do I tell whether my supplier supports punchouts?
Ask. Often suppliers do not make such information readily available on their web site. You want to speak directly to your supplier representative.

Can I use Aestiva Punchout for my smaller suppliers?
Usually not. This is because Punchouts require work on the part of both the supplier and the customer. The cXML "standard" has not yet evolved to the point of general use. In the future, as cXML becomes universal, Aestiva Punchout will evolve to support point-and-click interfaces to suppliers.

How can I save my organization money with Aestiva Punchout?
Supplier discounts are provided when Punchouts are set up. The discounts are often provided in the form of across-the-board discounts which are easy to measure and quantify. The first-year savings from only one supplier often justifies the installation of the entire Aestiva Punchout system.
